Shivalik has a deep commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and thus towards social, economic, and environmental objectives, and sharing the welfare role of the government. The company is aware of its responsibilities towards society and is committed to sustainable social and economic development. Our CSR department is involved in diverse social and economic issues like education, health, infrastructure development, and livelihood generation. It encourages people to participate actively in projects for social and economic empowerment of the community.
Current Health Activities : Health Camp
After the discussions held with the community members, they revealed that there is a need of Medical service in the community. Shivalik undertook a half day Medical camp to provide health checkups & create more health awareness. Medical camp was arranged and conducted by Shivalik team. Some of the outcomes of the camp were generation of goodwill within the community, providing good health services to the people and creating a platform to conduct future social events in the area.

Current Health Activities: Eye Checkup
Shivalik Ventures held a one-day medical camp in Bandra to offer free eye checkups and promote health awareness among local residents. The camp, organized near one of its under construction projects in Bandra, was well received by the community. It helped provide basic healthcare support and built stronger ties with people living around its new residential projects in Bandra. Through such initiatives, Shivalik shows its commitment to caring for communities beyond just building smart homes in Bandra.

Women’s SHG’s strengthening programIn Collaboration with: Mahila Aarthik Vikas Mahamandal (MAVIM)
After the discussions held with the members of the Mahila Mandals and self help groups, they revealed that there was lack of understanding and functioning of the SHG among the women community in the area. Women’s Self Help Groups (SHG) Strengthening programme was first programme of its kind that CSR team had directly undertaken in the community. 95 women had attended the programme. Women members had expressed their desire to have a programme which can impart basic functional understanding of the SHGs. Shivalik undertook a half day programme on covering some of the basic aspects that can improve their day to day functioning of the self helps groups and provide conceptual understanding of the concepts of self help groups.

Women’s Self Help Groups (SHG) Strengthening programme 20th March 2009 In collaboration with: Integrated child development scheme
8th March is celebrated world over as the world women’s day. Shivalik organised a programme in collaboration with Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) to commemorate world women’s day in area of Golibar. ICDS has 220 functional Anganwadi’s in the area of Golibaar, which addresses health, malnutrition, and development issues in the Golibaar area of Santacruz.
World Women’s day was the first programme of its kind that CSR team undertook directly in the community in co-ordination with government sector. 625 women participated in the programme.
